We are pleased to announce that registration remains open for the 2013 First 36.7 North American Championship (NAC).  Scheduled for September 5-8, 2013 and hosted at the Belmont Station of Chicago Yacht Club (CYC), the Notice of Race (NOR) and registration instructions are located at YachtScoring. The entry fee includes dockage during the event and access to all parties for the skipper and up to eight (8) crew members.  Thus far eleven (11) competitors have already registered!

2013 marks the 12th annual Championship of the North American class and this is the third time the traveling championship has been hosted by the Chicago fleet; the last time in 2008. The Lake Michigan fleet is the largest and most active 36.7 fleet in North America.  Home to over 20 members, the fleet has one-design starts in all major regattas, which we encourage boats to come early or stay late for after the NAC. These regattas include; Chicago NOOD RegattaChicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac and Verve Cup.

Joining us for another First 36.7 NAC as Race Officer will be Mr. Wayne Bretsch, who is known and respected for high standards of race management, as anyone who attended previous First 36.7 NACs can attest.

Our hospitality team has been at work preparing hoteltrucking, and storage options for out of town boats. We are also working with the local fleet on charter opportunities.

Should you have any questions in the upcoming months, please do not hesitate toContact me. We look forward to seeing you all here in Chicago!

Yours in Sailing,
