Dear Sailing Afficionados:

I’d like to welcome everyone to the new Lake Michigan Beneteau 36.7 web site. This is my fourth year as fleet Captain and I look forward to working with each of you to make this a successful and fun year.

This year presents itself to be a very full and aggressive sailing season with Chicago hosting the North American Championships in September.  There is the possibility that we will be hosting 50+ boats for the North Americans and the Verve Cup Offshore Regatta as well.  I can’t wait to see 50 boats on the starting line. Some of you have already experienced this event in Buffalo.

My involvement in the fleet has been a great learning experience. I have been involved with the development of the class rules, attended Area III meetings, and observed first hand the amount of work it takes to put together a regatta.  Let’s make sure we all take the time to thank the North American Championship committee for all their hard work.

Since joining the fleet I’ve had nothing but great experiences.  I’ve met a lot of new people and made some great friends along the way.  This is an amazing fleet and that’s a testament to all of you. I look forward to seeing you ALL on the race course.
